Jalen Gifford is on a mission to let teens know about the dangers of distracted driving, "It's definitely a big issue, everybody has cell phones and nowadays all teenagers have cars."
Gifford wants teens to know that being a safe driver is easy, "Although it seems like something little that you can do, putting your phone can ultimately save lives and change lives."
A self-taught videographer, Gifford said he is spreading the word through a video he created in his home town of Dodge City, "I prayed about it and got an idea of using this and incorporating the wild west and gun fighting to just really compare and use it as a metaphor for distracted driving."
This month, Gifford's video was selected among 1,500 entries as a finalist for Toyota's TeenDrive365 challenge, "I'm just super excited for this opportunity to just use these talents that God's given me and glorify him through them and just hopefully impact teens all throughout the world," Gifford said.
